Flexen struck out two, ending the game with a 9.00 ERA and 3.00 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: Flexen had been lights-out in the minors, compiling a 6-1 record with a 1.76 ERA in 10 starts between Single and Double A, but looked a little overwhelmed in his major league debut. The 23-year-old's second start won't be a cakewalk either, as he's next scheduled to pitch Wednesday in Colorado.
