|Nov. 5, 2017 4:56 PM PT5:56 PM MT6:56 PM CT7:56 PM ET0:56 GMT8:56 5:56 PM MST7:56 PM EST6:56 PM CT4:56 UAE (+1)19:56 ETNaN: - Alex Smith was 25 of 34 for 263 yards and threw two touchdown passes Sunday in the Kansas City Chiefs' 28-17 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Analysis: This wasn't Smith's best performance of the season for sure as the Chiefs totaled just six yards in the first half and didn't get in the end zone until the fourth quarter. Still, he almost brought his team back and now hasn't thrown a pick in his last 202 attempts, a run dating to last season. He's completed 72.9 percent of his passes and has 12 TDs without a pick.
|Oct. 8, 2017 8:57 PM PT9:57 PM MT10:57 PM CT11:57 PM ET3:57 GMT11:57 8:57 PM MST10:57 PM EST10:57 PM CT7:57 UAE (+1)23:57 ETNaN: - Alex Smith was 29 of 37 for 324 yards and threw three touchdown passes Sunday in the Kansas City Chiefs' 42-34 win over the Houston Texans. Analysis: Both Smith and the Chiefs' offense got off to a slow start, but he was spot-on over the final three quarters while providing an added contribution with his legs. With eight TD passes and a razor-sharp 76 percent completion percentage for 4-0 Kansas City, the late-blooming veteran has elevated his stock into borderline QB1 territory.
|Sep. 24, 2017 5:40 PM PT6:40 PM MT7:40 PM CT8:40 PM ET0:40 GMT8:40 5:40 PM MST7:40 PM EST7:40 PM CT4:40 UAE (+1)20:40 ETNaN: - Alex Smith was 16 of 21 for 155 yards and threw two touchdown passes Sunday in the Kansas City Chiefs' 24-10 win over the Los Angeles Chargers. Analysis: Smith will not produce like he did in the season opener, so the owner still needs to beware from a fantasy standpoint.
|Sep. 8, 2017 10:12 PM PT11:12 PM MT12:12 AM CT1:12 AM ET5:12 GMT13:12 10:12 PM MST12:12 AM EST12:12 AM CT9:12 UAE1:12 ETNaN: - Smith completed 28 of 35 passes for 368 yards and four touchdowns without an interception Thursday in the Chiefs' 42-27 win at New England.
Analysis: Smith entered the opener with exactly six 300-yard games in 136 career starts, but he was razor-sharp in carving up New England's vaunted secondary. Rookie Patrick Mahomes' supposed early ascension to the top of the depth chart is clearly on hold.
|Aug. 26, 2017 9:18 AM PT10:18 AM MT11:18 AM CT12:18 PM ET16:18 GMT0:18 9:18 AM MST11:18 AM EST11:18 AM CT20:18 UAE12:18 ETNaN: - Smith was 7 of 17 for just 44 yards against Seattle on Friday.
Analysis: There was nothing spectacular about Smith's performance and he wasn't helped by a handful of drops. It doesn't appear he has to worry about Patrick Mahomes overtaking him on the depth chart, as the rookie was 8 of 15 for 70 yards.
|Aug. 12, 2017 11:32 AM PT12:32 PM MT1:32 PM CT2:32 PM ET18:32 GMT2:32 11:32 AM MST1:32 PM EST1:32 PM CT22:32 UAE14:32 ETNaN: - Smith started Friday's preseason loss to the 49ers, going 4 of 6 for 48 yards with no TDs or INTs.
Analysis: As per his usual, Smith had a solid yet unspectacular performance, including a 32-yard pass to speedster Tyreek Hill on the Chiefs' first play. Patrick Mahomes looked very good coming off the bench and could be a threat to Smith's starting job if the veteran begins to struggle, especially considering KC traded up to the No. 10 overall pick to get Mahomes.
