X-rays later confirmed the backup quarterback suffered a fractured fibula.
Analysis: McCoy was making his second start since Alex Smith also broke his right leg - albeit in a far more serious way - in Week 11. He went 4 for 4 for 50 yards before departing. With their top two quarterbacks now done for the year, the Redskins' playoff hopes now ride on Mark Sanchez, who hasn't started a game since 2015 and was on the street before being signed right after Smith's injury.
