STATS FCS Senior Editor

(STATS) - The 2017 STATS FCS All-America Team was well represented in this week's NFL Draft.

Eight players who were selected to the All-America first team in December were drafted out of the subdivision, and there were second- and third-teamers as well.

Friday night, four first-team All-Americans were drafted: South Carolina State outside linebacker Darius Leonard (Indianapolis Colts, second round); South Dakota State tight end Dallas Goedert (Philadelphia Eagles, second); Sam Houston State defensive tackle P.J. Hall (Oakland Raiders, second); and North Carolina A&T offensive tackle Brandon Park (Raiders, third).

On Saturday, there were four more first-teamers: Weber State cornerback Taron Johnson (Buffalo Bills, fourth); Penn wide receiver Justin Watson (Tampa Bay Buccaneers, fourth); Illinois State cornerback Davontae Harris (Cincinnati Bengals, fifth); and Central Arkansas cornerback Tremon Smith (Kansas City Chiefs, sixth).

Overall, 19 FCS players were selected in the draft.
